La Fabrique des Arts Sonores

 

La Fabrique des Arts Sonores est un projet d’exposition qui se déroulera sur un an à partir de janvier 2018 sur le Campus de l’université Paris 8. En préparation de ce projet, un workshop d’une semaine s’est déroulé à la MSH en avril 2017. Les arts sonores représentent un champ d’activités ayant la particularité d’être à la fois ancien et récent. Ancien, parce que son histoire remonte au moins au début du xxe siècle et que le pluriel de sa dénomination l’inscrit de fait dans une généalogie complexe. Récent, par les études spécifiques qui lui sont consacrées. La fabrique des arts sonores entend analyser la construction historique et culturelle de ces pratiques, leurs conditions de possibilité et leur historiographie, tout comme les enjeux sociaux et esthétiques à l’œuvre derrière les affects qu’elles mobilisent ou produisent.

La Fabrique des Arts Sonores is an exhibition project which will take place over a year from January 2018 on the Campus of Paris 8 University. In preparation for this project, a one-week workshop was held at the MSH in April 2017.
The sound arts is a field of activities with the distinction of being both old and new. Old, because its history goes back to at least the beginning of the twentieth century and the plural of its denomination inscribes it in fact in a complex genealogy. New, by the specific studies devoted to it. La Fabrique des Arts Sonores intends to analyze the historical and cultural construction of these practices, their conditions of possibility and their historiography, as well as the social and aesthetic stakes at work behind the affects they mobilize or produce.
